Given Ranunculus bulbs, too late?
« on: October 26, 2016, 09:05:49 AM »
I was given some ranunculus by a lovely coworker a while back and with one thing and another (renovating :/ ) never got around to planting them.

Should I stick them in the ground now and try to get enough foliage to keep them alive until next season? Or put them somewhere cool and plant next autumn?

(Or chuck them as a lost cause?)

soak a day and plant them only 1 cm under the soil
Best cover with an old potato bag and keep moisture till they pop up

Thanks again for the encouragement to plant, half are now up and hopefully more will follow. Be interesting to see how they cope with their late start. At least it's not that hit here yet.
